Hiatus Interruptus
Well it has a been while since you all heard from American Freakout (rumor has it we've been freaked out of America and are hiding out somewhere along the equator). Just when you start to think this label has gone defunct, we come at you with some new gems to satisfy your desire for homegrown freaky sounds...
Before we get to the new stuff, we hope you had chance to check out Leni Do Not Touch which was released digitally a while back. Not sure if we'll hear anything new from Leni (last we heard he's married with cats) but we believe the Leni releases will only continue to garner a cult following...
As for the new stuff Simon Gransel has been working on ambient album with manipulated field recordings of birds! The album Birds of Dodo is in the post-production phase but as a bit of teaser and a palate cleanser he's releasing a couple of noisy tracks under the old Bijt Mij moniker. So check them out at the Bijt Mij myspace!
